May 1st run
Around Lake Randsfjord

Pre-departure meeting

Spring preparation

VRCC Europe and Germany representatives Andreas Schöler and Ronny Bergner were visiting to pick up two Valkyries and transport them to Germany. Mia and I therefore made sure to invite them and other VRCC Norway members to join us on our traditional run around Lake Randsfjorden on May 1st.

We really appreciate being able to take a nice ride at a normal pace this day, and not have to stand in line like many do at the big events elsewhere in Eastern Norway.

You can find the link to the route here!

We started at Esso Jaren, and took our first break at Cirkle K at Hov. From there we followed the lake, and crossed over the Fluberg bridge to the west side. From here it is a nice stretch of winding road up to Dokka. There we gathered for a nice lunch at Mia's favorite place, Pitstop Diner. We then drove south on the east side and crossed the Fluberg bridge again before continuing on the westside southbound towards Bjoneroa where we took a short break. We had planned to eat waffles and ice cream at Hadeland Glassverk, without checking if it was open. They weren't, so we ended up with an ice cream at Esso Jevnaker instead. There was a gathering there with several other motorcyclists, so there was a bit of everything to look at. We followed the east side again northbound up to Brandbu and finally ended where we started.

Many thanks to everyone who participated for a very enjoyable trip.
