Dates: 30.06 - 01.07

VRCC Norway member Arne Ivar invited us to a Valkyrie meeting at his beautiful property in Valdres. With a fantastic view and his own shoreline, everything was set for a pleasant meeting. He and his wife Kelli set up a cozy and comfortable atmosphere down by the water, and participants came from Trøndelag in the north to Vestfold in the south.

There was a party tent, barbecue food and various home-brewed beers to a 6/6 rating. As befits a biker meeting, there was toasting and motorcycle chat until late into the evening, and pleasant breakfasts the next day.

Saturday was the day for a ride-out. We drove the old road where we could over the Fillefjell mountain. From Maristova we also took the disused road on the backside of the Borlaug Tunnel. We don't include this on the map, as that road stub is officially closed. Down in Lærdalsdalen valley we did the same, and made our first stop at Borgund Stavkirke. We then meandered down the small roads to Lærdal, before heading towards Øvre Årdal where we took a longer break. Then we drove up the infamous hairpin bends towards the mountain, before it flattened out towards a beautiful mountain landscape on the way back to Arne Ivars place.

Many thanks to Arne Ivar and Kelli for their efforts and hospitality, and the same to the participants who joined in on the fun.
